Cory, Wes and Jansen travel via RV to Colorado to prep for the National Championships, while Seth is already out there getting acclimated.
See the video blog from the road
A two day drive gets them out to Colorado Springs where they begin to acclimate to the thin air. This trip will give our athletes enough time to be used to the elevation and prepare for a fair race. East coast riders are always disadvantaged when the races hit the clouds as those that live there have adapted and carry a higher percentage of the oxygen rich red blood cells to combat the lack of oxygen in abundance at such high altitudes.
After a local race in Colorado Springs the group will head into the high mountains before landing at Winter Park just 15 miles south of the race course.

Wes reports many crashes in Colorado. They have been riding in Colorado Springs and other locations south of Denver. Friday night they pick up their coach at the airport and head West to the higher mountains.
The crashes may be over with as all riders are getting used to the dry decomposed granite soil that characterizes this area. The air is also easier to breath as by now our riders have made the adjustment.
